Get your weekend started and shop update!
The unofficial start of summer was this week. I don't know about you, but I'm excited for more time with friends, more time for art and simply working on creating the life that's ahead of me...nothing but pure potential for the future. First of all, if you are reading this, thank you! I am so committed to getting my message out to the people who can benefit from it...learn from my stories and the things that I've worked on and worked through. Together, we'll work on creating more wellbeing in our lives!

Keeping it light!
It's friday and what's a girl to do? Why, I'm glad you asked. I'm starting my weekend with a non-alcoholic cocktail. When I owned a pub, it was clear that non-alcoholic mixed drinks were becoming a mainstay. I'm sharing my personal favorite recipes so you can enjoy them too. And, if non-alcoholic isn't your thing, you can always add vodka or gin. But, if you do want a grown up cocktail sans the booze, I've got you covered!

This week's recipe:
Quince Shrub with Blood Orange
The Quince Shrub is a juice, sugar and vinegar concoction from a local preserve shop called "Girl Meets Dirt". Everything they do is lovely and delicious and if this sounds like your thing, you can order online from them. The vinegar is a nice way to get a little extra fermented goodness into your diet and the quince is an often overlooked fruit with a lovely, almost tropical flavor.
Put 1 - 1.5 ounces of Quince Shrub in a glass (you can substitute this with your favorite tropical fruit juice and a few drops of white wine vinegar)
Halve the blood orange, saving a couple of slices for the garnish. Squeeze the juice from one half into a glass (I'm using a mason jar).
Add crushed ice. Fill to the top with tonic water or club soda and stir. (I prefer tonic water because the bitterness balances the sweetness from the shrub and the orange.)
Garnish with an orange slice and mint leaves and you've got a delicious beverage.
Shop update!
I've added some special items to my shop. I've also partnered with a company to print my artwork on accessory bags, totes, fine art prints and more.
Until next time....
